Les productions sud-africaines, nigérianes et kényanes occupent aujourd’hui une place de choix sur les plateformes internationales de la SVOD et du streaming, avec des centaines de nouvelles sorties chaque année. Mais qu’en est-il des œuvres issues du reste de l’Afrique subsaharienne, notamment francophone ? À ce jour, seules quelques productions ont réussi à intégrer lesdites plateformes. Pourtant, leurs dirigeants ont exprimé leur volonté d’accueillir davantage de contenus africains, tout en soulignant leur rareté et une perception persistante d’un manque de qualité. Ils estiment que de nombreux cinéastes africains manquent de courage et d’audace, alors que les publics du continent deviennent de plus en plus exigeants. Ces spectateurs recherchent des œuvres qui reflètent leur réalité socioculturelle, mais avec un niveau technique et artistique répondant aux standards internationaux : des scénarios captivants, une mise en scène percutante, des performances d’acteurs authentiques et une postproduction irréprochable. Face à ce constat, MBUYU ENTERTAINMENT s’engage à répondre à cette demande en élargissant la présence de contenus africains de premier plan sur la scène mondiale. L’essor fulgurant de la vidéo à la demande (VOD) révèle un immense potentiel inexploité pour des films, séries et téléfilms de haute qualité, issus du Cameroun et de l’Afrique subsaharienne, conçus avec des narrations universelles adaptées aux plateformes de streaming internationales. Notre ambition est claire : créer, développer et produire des œuvres cinématographiques et sérielles marquantes, qui apporteront une réelle valeur ajoutée à l’industrie audiovisuelle africaine. Nos projets s’adresseront non seulement aux cinéphiles africains, mais aussi aux Afro-Américains, aux diasporas globales et à un public international. À travers ces créations, nous offrirons une immersion authentique dans les réalités, les traditions et la culture africaines – une approche que les États-Unis et d’autres nations occidentales exploitent avec succès depuis plus d’un siècle. Avec toutes les infrastructures nécessaires pour soutenir cette initiative, Yaoundé, capitale du Cameroun, apparaît comme un hub stratégique pour implanter cette maison de production. Ce projet nous tient particulièrement à cœur : dynamiser le cinéma camerounais et d’Afrique francophone, créer des opportunités pour les talents locaux (acteurs comme techniciens) et contribuer à l’émergence d’un contenu africain ambitieux, original et mondialement exportable.

These viewers are seeking stories that reflect their own socio-cultural realities—told with the technical and artistic standards that align with global expectations: compelling scripts, dynamic direction, authentic performances, and flawless postproduction. In response to this reality, MBUYU ENTERTAINMENT is committed to expanding the presence of premium African content on the global stage. The rapid rise of video-on-demand (VOD) has revealed vast untapped potential for high-quality films, series, and TV movies from Cameroon and sub-Saharan Africa—crafted with universal narratives tailored for international streaming platforms. Our ambition is clear: to create, develop, and produce powerful cinematic and serialized works that bring true added value to Africa’s audiovisual industry. This project is close to our hearts: to energize Cameroonian and Francophone African cinema, create meaningful opportunities for local talent (both in front of and behind the camera), and fuel the rise of bold, original, and globally exportable African content.
